Good Faith Estimate

Igniting Change Counseling Center is compliant with our state laws and regulations. It is within our Code of Ethics to provide clarity in our treatment for our clients. We will "communicate clearly with clients about the parameters of the counseling relationship... [and] provide information about expectations and responsibilities of both counselor and client in the counseling process, their professional orientation and values regarding the counseling process, emergency procedures, supervision (as applicable), and business practices." You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your treatment will cost under the law. 

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total anticipated cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like tests, equipment, and fees.
  • Ensure your provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing before services begin. 
  • You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule services.
