"You can be both a masterpiece and a work in progress”

-Sophia Bush

Sydney is currently completing graduate school at Rocky Mountain University to become a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She has been in the mental health field for about six years now, including 4 and a half years doing specialty work in OCD and anxiety treatment. She is well-versed in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Exposure Response Prevention and believes these skills can be helpful in dealing with strong emotions.

She loves humor and connecting with others in a meaningful way. Her style when working with clients is client-centered. She believes people are already prepared with everything they need to work through problems and barriers - they just need support and someone with whom they can talk through things in a non-judgmental setting to bring clarity and empowerment. She loves working with clients who want change in their lives and are willing to risk vulnerability in order to facilitate that change.

Personal Interests

Sydney loves being outside and enjoys kayaking, hiking, camping, and hammocking while reading. She grew up in a small town in Nevada but has lived in Utah for a decade now and considers it home.
